Unity

Surat Al-Baqarah (The Cow), Chapter 2, Verse 213:

"Mankind was [of] one religion [before their deviation]; then Allah sent the prophets as bringers of good tidings and warners and sent down with them the Scripture in truth to judge between the people concerning that in which they differed. And none differed over the Scripture except those who were given it - after the clear proofs came to them - out of jealous animosity among themselves. And Allah guided those who believed to the truth concerning that over which they had differed, by His permission. And Allah guides whom He wills to a straight path." (Quran 2:213)

It was reported from Awf ibn Maalik who said: the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
"The Jews were divided into seventy-one sects,
one of which is in Paradise and seventy are in the Fire.
The Christians were divided into seventy-two sects,
seventy-one of which are in the Fire and one is in Paradise.
By the One in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad,
my Ummah will be divided into seventy-three sects,
one of which will be in Paradise and seventy-two will be in the Fire."
It was said, O Messenger of Allaah, who are they?
He said, "Al-Jamaa’ah."
(Sunan Ibn Maajah, no. 3982.)

Sunni vs Syiah

There is no 'Sunni' or 'Syiah' in Quran. There is only 'Muslim'. A muslim should follow the words of Allah in Quran, and followed by Prophet Muhammad saying and tradition in the authentic hadith.

Unity

"And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided. And remember the favor of Allah upon you - when you were enemies and He brought your hearts together and you became, by His favor, brothers. And you were on the edge of a pit of the Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus does Allah make clear to you His verses that you may be guided." (Quran 3:103)

"Indeed, those who have divided their religion and become sects - you, [O Muhammad], are not [associated] with them in anything. Their affair is only [left] to Allah ; then He will inform them about what they used to do." (Quran 6:159)

"O you who have believed, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you. And if you disagree over anything, refer it to Allah and the Messenger, if you should believe in Allah and the Last Day. That is the best [way] and best in result." (Quran 4:59)
