Indeed, mankind is in loss,
Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience. "
(Quran 103: 1 - 3)
Utilising the creation
In Islam, every good deed is consider as worship & rewarding. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the all-time best teacher. Prophet Muhammad did not just taught us on how to perform the prayer to Allah (Creator) only, but how we can fully utilise the God's creation in our daily life. For example, we use the sun position everyday to determine our prayer time. Different places, have different prayer times depending on the sun position for that location everyday. We perform prayer 5 times a day, we are aware of the changes in time and sun position daily. 12am at your place doesnt mean midnight at other place. By determining the prayer time, you'll get to know the day and night at different location. The call for prayer (athan) means the time and sun position for each interval, 5 times a day, so that we (muslim and non muslim) can manage our time. Unfortunately, in Australia the call for prayer is consider as sound pollution.
We use moon to determine the Islamic lunar calendar and to determine the Islamic month for fasting and eid. So muslims in 4 season countries will experience fasting for all seasons because the fasting date changed, shorter by 11 days annually. Time is very important for us that we should not take for granted. Thats why muslims perform prayer daily, for gratitude.
We should question the purpose of our life, purpose of the creation.
