Muslims anti racism

"The Power"
(feat. Amakhono We Sintu)
Masisondele, masisondele haha phila nocolo yelele
(Let us draw nearer to perfect peace in life)

Subhan’Allah, walhamdu lillah
(Glory be to Allah, and all praise be to Allah
La ilaha illa Allah, wa’Allahu Akbar
There is no god but Allah, and Allah is the Greatest)

You can say it once
Or a hundred times or more
You’ll feel at peace inside
And it’ll open every door

[Chorus:]
That’s the power of remembering Allah
It’s the best way to purify your heart
And know you will be loved by The Merciful One
‘Cause that’s the power of remembering Allah

Subhan’Allah, walhamdu lillah
(Glory be to Allah, and all praise be to Allah
La ilaha illa Allah, wa’Allahu Akbar
There is no god but Allah, and Allah is the Greatest)

So much you can gain
Just by saying those few words
You can renew your faith
And be showered in rewards

[Chorus]

La ilaha illa Allah [x3]
(There is no god but Allah)
Subhan’Allah, walhamdu lillah wa’Allahu Akbar
(Glory be to Allah, all praise be to Allah, and Allah is the Greatest)

Masisondele kuy’uAllah
(We obey You Allah)
Ngokukhulu ukuzithoba
(With submission, we humble ourselves before You)
Sizothol’ ukuphila Noxolo
(So we may find peace and happiness)

[Chorus]

Subhan’Allah, walhamdu lillah
(Glory be to Allah, and all praise be to Allah
La ilaha illa Allah, wa’Allahu Akbar
There is no god but Allah, and Allah is the Greatest)

Islam do not segregate people. We are equal in the sight of Allah. What make us different is our righteous to Him. Be just to other people also make us closer to righteous.

49:10

"The believers are but brothers, so make settlement between your brothers. And fear Allah that you may receive mercy." (Quran 49:10)

"Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood. Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly." Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)'s final sermon

You can see from the music video, that Maher Zain is an arab by race and the Amakhono We Sintu are African by race. They are brothers in Islam. Eventhough they sing the song in different languages, but they praise the same God, Allah. We are brothers and sisters to one another. Muslim brotherhood and sisterhood. We help and love each other.

Help each other, for the sake of Allah.

Islam brings positivity

"O you who have believed, let not a people ridicule [another] people; perhaps they may be better than them; nor let women ridicule [other] women; perhaps they may be better than them. And do not insult one another and do not call each other by [offensive] nicknames. Wretched is the name of disobedience after [one's] faith. And whoever does not repent - then it is those who are the wrongdoers."

"O you who have believed, avoid much [negative] assumption. Indeed, some assumption is sin. And do not spy or backbite each other. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his brother when dead? You would detest it. And fear Allah ; indeed, Allah is Accepting of repentance and Merciful."

"O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted." (Quran 49:11-13)

Islam is a universal religion that unite people globally. Everyone is born Muslim. We are from the same root, Prophet Adam and Eve. Islam kill racism with knowledge, by following the Quran and Sunnah.

"All mankind is from Adam and Eve. An Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over a black nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety and good action."

Do not judge, suspicious and backbite other people (Muslim and Non Muslim). Only Allah can judge us. Do not underestimate other people regardless their race or skin color. Always have a positive thought that they might be better than us. Everyone is good unless proven bad. However, Islam can turn you from bad (darkness) to good (light) by the mercy from Allah SWT.

There are things that we do not know, and maybe we can learn from them by sharing knowledge. Respect one another, so that we can live in love that bring harmony, peace and happiness. We can make du'a (supplication) to Allah directly, for love.

Cultural Diversity

Surat Ar-Rūm (The Romans), Chapter 30, Verse 22:

30:22

"And of His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth and the diversity of your languages and your colors. Indeed in that are signs for those of knowledge."
(Quran 30:22)

There is no force for assimilation in Islam. You can be a Muslim and apply your own culture. Islam is very rich with culture in term of art, dress, food, language and many more. What make us unite is the faith. Mosque is the gathering place. Friday prayer is a weekly gathering event. Masjidil al-Haram in Mecca, Saudi Arabia is the annual gathering event (pilgrimage).

Respect, Tolerance and Acceptance

5:8

"O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm for Allah , witnesses in justice, and do not let the hatred of a people prevent you from being just. Be just; that is nearer to righteousness. And fear Allah ; indeed, Allah is Acquainted with what you do." (Quran 5:8)

Respect each other and treat people justly despite the faith. To respect does not mean to accept. For example, Malaysia is a multicultural country that live in peaceful and harmony. Despite the race and faith, they are all united under 1Malaysia.

Malaysia is known as endless celebration country. Eventhough Islam is the national and official religion of the country where 61% of the total population is Muslims, the non-Muslims may practice their own religion. Religious festival is part of the public holiday in Malaysia, for all major religions in the country such as Eidul Fitri, Eidul Adha, Chinese New Year, Deepavali, Thaipusam and Christmas.

During Thaipusam celebration, some public road will be close for the parade. That is the tolerance in Malaysia. However, to respect people and their belief, do not mean that we accept the faith which is consider as 'shirk'. We accept the existence of other religions as religion, but we do not accept the God that they worship. Muslims only worship Allah, as One God.

Surat Al-Kāfirūn (The Disbelievers), Chapter 109, Verse 6:

109:6

"For you is your religion, and for me is my religion." (Quran 109:6)
